PLAYING CATEGORIES
You can nominate in the following age categories for the 2024 tournament at Inverell.
U8s Mixed male & female. Play Saturday and Sunday; games are played between 9 am and 1 pm, allowing families to explore the local area in the afternoon. Teams play up to 4 games/day, depending on entry numbers. Nine players/team, including two subs.
U10s Mixed male & female. Arrive Friday and play Friday, Saturday and Sunday –; games are played between 9 am and 1 pm, allowing families to explore the local area in the afternoon. Teams play 3 to 4 games/day, depending on entry numbers. Twelve players/team, including three subs.
U12s Mixed male & female. Arrive Friday and play on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. All games are played between 9 am and 1 pm. This category allows families to explore the local area in the afternoon. Teams will play three games per day. Twelve players/team, including three subs.
U13s female only. Arrive Friday and play on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. All games are played between 9 am and 1 pm. This category allows families to explore the local area in the afternoon. Teams will play three games per day. Twelve players/team, including three subs.
U14s. Arrive on Friday, Play on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and play their finals on Monday. Finals will be finished at noon. Fifteen players/team, including four subs. Teams will play two games/day—time slots to be advised after team nominations have closed. Games will be played in the afternoon./early evening. Fifteen players/team, including four subs.
U16s. Arrive on Friday, Play on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and play their finals on Monday. Finals will be finished at noon. U19s. Arrive on Friday, Play on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and play their finals on Monday. Finals will be finished at noon. Open Women. Arrive on Friday, Play on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and play their finals on Monday. Finals will be finished at noon. Teams will play two games/day—time slots to be advised after team nominations have closed. Games will be played in the afternoon./early evening. Fifteen players/team, including four subs.
Different Abilities Tournament. Play Friday and Saturday with medals and trophy presentation on Saturday after the last games finish. Eight players/team, including two subs.
The business Fun Charity Tournament Starts Friday, 27th of September, and ends Saturday, 28th of September 2023. Playing times on both days are from 6 pm to 8 pm. Eight players/team, including two subs.
To be able to run a tournament this size and to guarantee the continued success of the Rale Rasic Joeys Mini World Cup, our new host Inverell is able to provide eight good quality fields and two small U10s fields at the Inverell Sports Complex, plus five full-size fields 800 meters from the Sports Complex at Cameron Park. 4 canteens can cater for the visitors and the clubhouse located at the Sports Complex above the canteen will serve as the tournaments’s Admin Centre. Four fields have good lighting in order to play late games.
The Rale Rasic Joeys Mini World Cup has been attracting teams from Rockhampton, Gladstone, Bundaberg, South Burnett, Hervey Bay, Maryborough, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Warwick, Stanthorpe, Tenterfield, Sydney, Newcastle, Central Coast, Inverell/Armidale/Tamworth, Lismore, Coffs Harbour, Grafton, Adelaide over the years. From Overseas we had teams from Frankfurt/Germany, New Zealand and Tonga.
